David Moyes and Tim Steidten are working through a mammoth list of 20 West Ham transfer targets claims a board confidant.
There are now just 12 days left until the January transfer window slams shut on the fingers of West Ham boss David Moyes and technical director Tim Steidten.
As we reported here back in November, West Ham have to ship players out to clear space in the squad and on the wage bill to satisfy FFP rules.
To that end Thilo Kehrer and Conor Coventry have left the Hammers with Said Benrahma, Nayef Aguerd, Danny Ings and Maxwel Cornet also linked with moves away.

Moyes and Steidten working on mammoth list of targets
After the FA Cup exit at Bristol City on Tuesday night, Moyes stated he is expecting to make signings.
West Ham fans who have been following the rumour mill will be struggling to keep up with the plethora of targets being linked with moves to the London Stadium.
The list grows longer on a daily – and almost hourly – basis.
With good reason, though, it seems.
Because Moyes and Steidten are working through a mammoth list of 20 West Ham transfer targets claims a board confidant.

20 targets as Hammers chase two loans but no striker
The deals will be in the form of two loans.
But none of the 20 targets is a striker.
That’s according to Sean Whetstone, who counts majority owner David Sullivan and vice-chair Karren Brady among his contacts.
West Ham have been heavily linked with a move for Man City outcast Kalvin Phillips this week. That potential move has been dominating the transfer headlines.
But Phillips is one of NINTEEN targets being assessed, Whetstone claims.

‘Could end up signing no-one’
“Kalvin Phillips and Emile Smith Rowe are two of twenty players that David Moyes and Tim Steidten are currently looking and exploring at as potential loan deals,” Whetstone said.
“The Hammers are looking to sign one or two players on loan before the transfer window closes but could up signing no-one if they cannot obtain value for money.
“They are not actively looking for a striker within those 20 names.”
Although fans may be somewhat disappointed the deals will only be loans, it must be remembered January is a very difficult time to do deals. Especially for quality players.
But supporters will be hoping any deals include options or obligations to buy if they prove successful in the second half of the season.
Failure to sign anyone would seriously call into question West Ham’s ability to maintain their challenge for a top six place.
We’re not saying this is the list. But here’s a list we’ve compiled of 20 players – minus strikers – West Ham have been linked with over the last week or two:
- Kalvin Phillips
- Jack Clarke
- Max Kilman
- Emile Smith Rowe
- Antonio Nusa
- Steven Bergwijn
- Wilfried Gnonto
- Jonathan Rowe
- Ibrahim Osman
- Joseph Paintsil
- Cameron Carter-Vickers
- Kyle Walker-Peters
- Joey Veerman
- Pablo Rosario
- Jeremie Frimpong
- Trevoh Chalobah
- Conor Gallagher
- Marcus Edwards
- Cameron Pring
- Jonathan Tah
