Crystal Palace star Odsonne Edouard is set for a West Ham audition this weekend after being linked with a surprise January move that reeks of David Moyes.
West Ham will be coming up against Crystal Palace forward Odsonne Edouard at the London Stadium on Sunday.
But he could be playing for the Hammers next month if a report from Football Transfers is to be believed.
David Moyes did not sign a replacement for Gianluca Scamacca in the summer.
Now injuries to Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen have exposed that decision. Thankfully for Moyes, he should be able to get through to the January transfer window without it causing West Ham too many issues.

Palace star Edouard set for West Ham audition
West Ham fans will look forward with excitement to every transfer window after the arrival of Tim Steidten.
The German was appointed technical director in the summer and pulled off one of the best transfer windows in the Premier League.
That being said, there is no doubt signing a striker next month is West Ham’s top priority.
Now Crystal Palace star Edouard looks set for a West Ham audition after being linked with a surprise January move that reeks of Moyes.
Football Transfers claims West Ham are seriously considering the move and that Palace are ‘open to the departure’.
It is fair to say the sudden link with a move for the Eagles striker has not generated much excitement among Hammers fans.

Surprise link reeks of Moyes
Edouard was heavily linked with a move to West Ham before he joined Crystal Palace from Celtic two and a half years ago.
We reported on Hammers News at the time that the striker had been recommended to Moyes by his friend and fellow Celtic man Alan Brazil.
Edouard has scored just 19 goals in 80 games for Palace since. He turns 26 next month so Edouard could have his best years ahead of him of course.
But with ‘pearl diver’ Steidten in charge of transfers, West Ham fans have their sights on a more exciting talent – such as Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface, Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy, Chelsea’s Armando Broja or PSG’s Hugo Ekitike.

The fact of the matter is Edouard has all the hallmarks of a Moyes striker signing.
And while the Scot has more than earned the right to have his input on transfers, Steidten has proved his philosophy is most definitely the way forward for the Irons. Moyes has also failed miserably when it comes to identifying, signing and getting the best out of strikers during his spells at West Ham.
That has left him having to convert wingers into forwards.
Edouard does, in fairness, have six goals in 13 games this season. That’s one less than he managed all of last term. And it’s the same number he scored in the season before that.
But it seems highly unlikely that someone like Edouard would be on the German’s list of targets.
So, regardless of how he plays against West Ham for Palace on Sunday, perhaps this is one the Hammers should leave well alone.
