Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to bring at least one top class striker to the London Stadium this summer.

Providing more quality competition for Michail Antonio will be pivotal to West Ham’s hopes of achieving success on all fronts this season.

Tammy Abraham is a name who has been persistently linked with a move to the Hammers since the start of the summer (The Daily Mail, The Athletic and club insider ExWHUemployee).

In fact, he is believed to be Moyes’s number one transfer target this summer (Sky Sports).

And now it seems as though Chelsea and West Ham are getting closer regarding their respective valuations of the 23-year-old.

Chelsea slash Abraham asking price

The Sun claims that the Blues are keen to move Tammy on this summer and have subsequently lowered their demands for the striker to £35 million.

West Ham are allegedly not prepared to pay more than £30 million for Abraham, however.

Surely the two London clubs will be able to meet somewhere in the middle.

The 23-year-old would be a superb signing for the Hammers. He is big and strong, quick along the ground and possesses fantastic movement.

Tammy is a very good finisher as well.

Perhaps £32 million would be a fair price. And if Chelsea are desperate to sign Erling Haaland, then they may well have to lower their demands for Tammy even further still.
