West Ham’s potential chances of signing Axel Disasi may not be so easy after all.
Indeed, Disasi has reportedly been offered to West Ham as they hunt for defensive recruitments to aid in their battle to beat the drop.
The French international has long been linked with a move to West Ham United.
In fact, back in September, Disasi revealed he had turned down a move to West Ham.
How many more signings do we need to make for you to feel confident about staying up?! 🤔
Chelsea, however, kept him in their now infamous “bomb squad” and he’s not played a senior game of competitive football in almost nine months.
Quite whether that would have been enough for him to change his mind about the prospect of a move across the English capital is unclear.
However, even if it did, it seems as if the door now isn’t complete shut on the idea of actually staying at Chelsea.
Liam Rosenior confirms Chelsea talks over Axel Disasi’s future
Chelsea have been criticised for their use of the bomb squad, as well as their recruitment model in general.
Still, new head coach Rosenior has revealed that he does intend to talk with the club’s top brass over the futures of Disasi and Raheem Sterling.
What would you say if you heard West Ham could RE-SIGN Kurt Zouma? 🇫🇷
The fact that they remain out of the picture is jarring for many onlookers but Rosenior is not against the idea of using them.
Speaking ahead of his side’s Carabao Cup clash with Arsenal on Wednesday night, Rosenior said of Disasi and Raheem Sterling (via BBC Sport): “Axel is someone I’ve really, really liked as a player for a long time.
“Honestly, I have to have a conversation with them. I have to have a conversation with the club. I’m being genuinely honest. I literally have got to work through a list of priorities. I will do in the next few days.”

What has Nuno said about West Ham’s transfer plans?
After the win over QPR, Nuno confirmed that West Ham are still in the market for new signings.
“We are trying to rebalance the squad.
“We still need bodies, but [the QPR] win was a very important day for us.”
Pablo Felipe and Taty Castellanos came in to strengthen the frontline but the defence is what is on course to send the Irons to the Championship for the first time since 2012.
Defensive reinforcement is badly needed, whether it’s Disasi or anyone else.
