Chelsea have given West Ham hope over Trevoh Chalobah but there’s one issue claims a reporter close to the owner.
West Ham boss David Moyes is said to be a big fan of several players on the fringes at Chelsea.
And it’s no surprise after the capture of Emerson Palmieri for a bargain £13.5m from the Blues the summer before last.
Chelsea’s struggling striker Armando Broja was a big target for the Hammers.
But the top source at West Ham told Hammers News that Todd Boehly is simply asking for too much money.

Chelsea give West Ham hope over Chalobah
A defender is also a big priority for West Ham in the January transfer window.
And with time running out attentions have turned to another Chelsea bit-part player – Trevoh Chalobah.
Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth took to X today to claim that the Hammers are keeping a close eye on the Chelsea defender, with just three days remaining before the transfer window closes.
And Chelsea have given West Ham hope over a deal for Chalobah but there’s one issue claims a reporter close to the owner.
Hugh Southon of Claret and Hugh claims West Ham have been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of Chalobah with Chelsea willing to loan him to the Irons.

But issue could be a ‘deal-breaker’
But he points out the Blues are demanding an obligation to buy as part of any loan. And that – Southon claims – could be a ‘deal-breaker’ for West Ham.
“The Hammers have been linked with Chalobah for several weeks, and it was only expected that they would make a move if they were able to sell defender Nayef Aguerd,” Southon says.
“However, with Chelsea now willing to sanction a loan move, the Irons may be considering bringing in the 24-year-old regardless of Aguerd’s future…
“While a loan deal would involve minimal risk for West Ham, the Blues are reportedly demanding an obligation to buy as part of any agreement. If this is the case, it could be a deal-breaker for the Hammers…
“But there are still a number of hurdles that need to be overcome before the deal can be finalised.
“The Irons will need to convince Chalobah of their playing project, and they may also need to sweeten the deal by offering Chelsea a more attractive arrangement.”
