Bundesliga striker linked with West Ham is on fire and Tim Steidten must have a January move lined up for Serhou Guirassy.
Konstantinos Mavropanos was not the only player West Ham technical director Tim Steidten wanted to sign from Stuttgart in the summer.
West Ham were heavily linked with a move for 27-year-old Serhou Guirassy too.
According to a report from Kicker last month, the Hammers target was available for just £13 million up until August 10th.
But West Ham passed up the chance and Guirassy’s statistics since will have Steidten and the Hammers board wincing.

The Bundesliga striker linked with West Ham is on fire and Steidten must have Guirassy lined up for a January move.
Because he has scored 11 goals and laid on two assists in six games for Stuttgart, helping them up to second in the fledgling table.
That’s a goal contribution every 46 minutes – phenomenal figures.
Guirassy grabbed a brace in a 3-1 win over Darmstadt on Friday night. One of them was an absolutely audacious close range chip over the goalkeeper which you can see in the post below.

In the end the summer transfer window closed without West Ham signing a striker.
That was despite links to the likes of Guirassy, Hugo Ekitike and Yuri Alberto – to name but a few.
Goodness knows what kind of fee Stuttgart will look to command for the Guinea international in January.
But German pearl diver Steidten will surely be revisiting West Ham’s reported interest.

Especially as David Moyes is known to be a fan too having been linked with a move in just about every window during his second spell at West Ham – including the summer of 2020.
The Hammers will just have to hope they have not missed their chance.
Guirassy’s form is no accident or flash in the pan. He scored a goal every other game last season.
And his form this season puts him among the leading strikers in world football.
He appears to be perfect for Moyes and his system. He’s 6ft 2, deadly in the air, quick, strong in the challenge and does not stop working by making tireless runs into the channels and harassing defenders.
Let’s hope Super Tim gets on the jet come January.
