According to a report from Sky Sports (Live Transfer Blog, 13:08), alleged West Ham target Serhou Guirassy is on his way to England from France.
Sky Sports suggest that there are four clubs keen on signing the Amiens hitman.
It was suggested that the Hammers were actually in talks to sign the 23-year-old last week (Sky Sports).
West Ham are desperate for more attacking firepower, with £45 million summer signing Sebastien Haller failing to fire.
As well as Guirassy, the east London outfit have been linked with moves for Salomon Kalou (Kicker) and Willian Jose (AS).
As things stand, however, Guirassy seems to be the most likely out of those three names.
Is the 23-year-old good enough for the Hammers?
Guirassy joined Amiens from FC Koln in the summer of 2019 for around £5 million (Sky Sports).
He has hardly been prolific in France, however, with just five goals in 18 games to his name this season (Transfermarkt).
The Frenchman is very strong in the air, and has won an average of 4.1 aerial duals per game in 17 Ligue 1 outings for Amiens this season (Who Scored).
West Ham need a an out-and-out goalscorer, however. They already have a target man type forward in the form of Sebastien Haller.
And considering Guirassy’s poor goal record, this should be one that the Hammers avoid.
