A bullish Harry Maguire has sent a new come and get me plea to David Moyes as fresh rumours over a January move to West Ham gather pace.

Suddenly, almost out of nowhere, renewed talk of Harry Maguire moving to West Ham has reignited.

And the Man United outcast is doing nothing to play it down.

Yesterday we reported on Maguire’s comments in an England press conference where he called West Ham “a massive club”.

The centre-back spoke out to insist he was never given the opportunity to join the Hammers because an agreement was never properly reached between Man United, West Ham and the player himself.

Bullish Harry Maguire sends new come and get me plea to David Moyes as fresh rumours over January move to West Ham gather pace

David Moyes spent most of the summer window pursuing Maguire and reports claimed a £30m deal was agreed. But the Red Devils reportedly failed to agree a satisfactory severance with their fifth-choice central defender.

Then earlier today we reported on claims that West Ham remain interested in Maguire could allow Kurt Zouma to leave in January.

Now a bullish Maguire has sent a new come and get me plea to Moyes as fresh rumours over a January move to West Ham gather pace.

In footage from a Maguire England press conference released today, the defender has bluntly said he refuses to continue to sit on the bench at Man United and will speak to the club about leaving if it carries on.

“Listen it’s been tough, I want to play games, I want to feel important to the club and I want to feel important to the rest of the team,” Maguire said.

‘I’m not going to sit here all my life playing once a month’

“At the moment I haven’t been playing nowhere near as much as I’d like, is the bottom line of it…

“I mean I’m not going to sit here all my life and play once every month. And if it carries on I’m sure myself and the club will sit down and have a chat about things.”

West Ham assistant coach Kevin Nolan claimed on talkSPORT recently that Moyes was in contact with Maguire and that the deal came ‘very close’.

Maguire has been criticised for not leaving to join West Ham with Jamie Carragher recently saying he should have jumped at the chance.

Well if new reports circulating – and Maguire’s bullish new attitude – are anything to go by then he may well get opportunity to do just that in January.

Maguire knows he needs to be playing regularly in the second half of the season to keep his place in the England team going into next summer’s Euros.
