Hammers boss David Moyes is desperate to bring a top-class left-back to the London Stadium this summer, with Aaron Cresswell looking like he’s set to leave.

However, it appears as though West Ham could miss out on Tierney to the Magpies…

Blow for West Ham as Sky Sports reporter claims Kieran Tierney is keen to join Newcastle this summer

Keith Downie has been speaking about the situation of the Arsenal left-back.

The Sky Sports News reporter suggested that Tierney is keen to move to St James’ Park this summer:

“It’s a player Newcastle have wanted for some time. There’s been contact between all parties throughout the summer and I think there’s a want from Tierney’s side to make the move here should Newcastle agree something with Arsenal.”

That’s really bad news for West Ham – Tierney would have been a great signing for us this summer.

The Scot would have been a massive upgrade on Cresswell at the London Stadium. He has pace and power in abundance and with regular game-time, I’m convinced that the former Celtic man will fulfil his potential.

And if Newcastle sign Kieran Tierney, it will highlight the huge gap between them and us right now.
