Manchester United have allegedly offered a £150k-a-week deal for one of West Ham United’s key transfer targets this summer.

New Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is expected to be an extremely busy man in the transfer market this summer.

And after losing Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata on free transfers, the addition of a creative play-maker will be featuring high up on the Man United manager’s summer transfer window wish-list.

And it seems as though Manchester United are on the hunt for one of Hammers manager David Moyes’s key transfer targets.

This one is incredibly frustrating…

Manchester United offer lucrative deal to ‘sensational’ play-maker

The Red Devils have reportedly made the first official move to sign Christian Eriksen on a free transfer.

According to a report from The Daily Star, Man United have offered Eriksen a £150k-a-week deal to move to Old Trafford.

That’s a huge blow to West Ham because there is no way that we will break our wage structure for a 30-year-old, in my opinion.

That’s despite the fact that he’s available on a free transfer.

There’s no denying that the 115-capped Denmark international would be a brilliant signing for the Hammers though.

The 30-year-old proved over the last couple of months of last season that he still has the quality needed to make a difference in the Premier League.

The Dane bagged one goal and four assists in 11 Premier League games for the Bees (Transfermarkt).

He would add so much to West Ham’s attacking play what with his creativity, guile and invention in and around the penalty box.

The Dane is still one of the very best play-makers in world football. He has been described as a ‘sensational’ player by The Times.

So with that in mind, if Manchester United have in fact offered Eriksen a lucrative deal, it will be a big blow for the Hammers.

Here’s to hoping that we still have a chance of winning the race for the Dane’s signature.
