Big problem for West Ham United as Fabrizio Romano claims Roma have offered Evan Ndicka a five-year deal.
Roma appear to be leading the race to sign West Ham target Evan Ndicka on a free transfer this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Hammers boss David Moyes is thought to be a big fan of the 23-year-old centre-back – and is said to be trying to bring him to the London Stadium.

The Scot desperately needs to bolster his central defensive ranks in the summer transfer window, having sold Craig Dawson in January. Meanwhile, Angelo Ogbonna is now 35 and Kurt Zouma continues to struggle with injuries.
And signing Ndicka on a free transfer would have been the perfect move. However, it appears as though West Ham are about to get beaten to the punch by AS Roma…
Big problem for West Ham as Fabrizio Romano claims Roma offer Evan Ndicka 5-year deal
The well-respected football journalist took to Twitter last night to claim that the Italian giants are closing in on the 23-year-old defender.
Fabrizio Romano tweeted:
What a shame that is – I would have absolutely loved the Frenchman at the London Stadium. Ndicka is a truly elite defender, make no mistake about that.
In 30 Bundesliga outings for Eintracht Frankfurt this season, he averaged 0.8 tackles, one interception, 2.6 successful aerial duels and 4.8 clearances per game. The defender made 60.1 passes on average per match and recorded an impressive completion rate of 86.4% (Who Scored).
Ndicka is an absolute colossus. Standing at 6ft 4in tall, he is totally dominant in the air and the centre-back seems to be tailor made for Premier League football.
He would have been the perfect long-term replacement for Ogbonna in my opinion.
However, it appears as though Evan Ndicka is now Roma bound. And if he does move to the Italian capital, it would be a huge shame for us.
