West Ham United centre-back Nayef Aguerd faces an extremely uncertain future at the London Stadium.
Nayef Aguerd joined West Ham from Rennes in the summer of 2022 for around £30 million, and despite impressing initially, he has really struggled over the past year or so.
Hammers boss David Moyes has persisted with the 27-year-old for far too long now, and the Scot only recently dropped him after some disastrous showings.
There is a very strong argument to be made that Aguerd is not suited to the Premier League one little bit, what with its robust physical nature and intensity.
The Moroccan is now behind Konstantinos Mavropanos and Kurt Zouma in the central defensive pecking order at West Ham.
So will he still be a hammer next season?

According to Claret and Hugh, the former Rennes man has just switched agents, and he now wants to leave the London Stadium in the summer transfer window.
I have to say, I can’t wait to see the back of him, as harsh as that may sound.
He doesn’t have the concentration levels, positional awareness or discipline to play as a central defender in the Premier League
Aguerd is incredibly weak in the challenge, and seems to get bullied by opposing players on a regular basis.
The Hammers defender has become a target for the opposition time and time again, and that is causing us major problems now.
West Ham need to sell Nayef Aguerd as a matter of urgency as far as I’m concerned. It seems like he’s desperate to leave, so moving him on shouldn’t be too hard.
However, whether we will be able to get anywhere near the £30 million that we paid for him is highly doubtful.
