Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is a target for West Ham United in the January transfer window.

West Ham boss David Moyes is desperate to add a top-class striker to his ranks in the January transfer window, and Arsenal hitman Eddie Nketiah is someone who is on the Scot’s radar.

The Hammers manager has built a decent squad at the London Stadium, but the addition of a proven centre-forward is needed in order to take us to another level.

Nketiah is someone who has been linked with a move to West Ham on numerous occasions before, and the Gunners apparently want around £40 million for the forward.

Mohammed Kudus, Lucas Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen have formed an incredible relationship with one another, but the addition of a striker could be the icing on the cake for the Hammers.

And it seems as though Nketiah is the man who Moyes wants. But will Arsenal sell him?

Arsenal give Eddie Nketiah answer to West Ham

Football journalist Dean Jones has told the Ranks FC Ultras Podcast that the Hammers have made an approach to sign the Gunners forward.

Jones said:

“They’re checking out the market, looking for value and seeing if they can find someone who can raise the level of their frontline. I know they did sound out Eddie Nketiah just like Crystal Palace have, they didn’t get a good response, but that shows they’re looking.”

The 24-year-old Gunners striker would be the ideal signing for us in my opinion, but Arsenal clearly aren’t keen to let him join us.

There are plenty of other options out there, including the likes of Boulaye Dia and Serhou Guirassy.

West Ham might not be signing Eddie Nketiah in the January transfer window, but that doesn’t mean Moyes will just give up and go with what he’s got.

I really believe that the Scot will push hard for a new centre-forward this month, and if he gets one, we really could be on to something special this season.
