Arsenal have allegedly entered transfer talks to sign West Ham United transfer target Arthur Melo from Juventus.
That’s according to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb who claims that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta wants to bring the 25-year-old Juventus midfielder to the Emirates in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal manager Arteta is clearly still keen to bolster his central midfield ranks with the addition of Arthur Melo this summer.
And despite the fact that David Moyes has already brought Flynn Downes to the London Stadium, he is on the look-out for further central midfield reinforcements according to a report from The Evening Standard.

It seems as though the East London outfit could be set to miss out on one of Moyes’s key transfer targets this summer though…
Arsenal keen to sign West Ham target Arthur Melo
According to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb, the Gunners have entered talks to sign the Juventus star.
And that is obviously very bad news indeed for the Hammers.
What an incredible signing the Brazilian would be for either West Ham or Arsenal. He is a truly exceptional player.
The Times reported at the end of last year that Juve could demand as much as £50 million for the 25-year-old. With the Turin giants being so desperate to move him on though, perhaps they will lower their demands.
Arthur is a deep-lying play-maker by trade and he possesses stunning technical ability.
The former Barcelona ace’s passing is the best attribute he has. In 20 Serie A appearances last season, Arthur made 34.9 passes on average per game and recorded a completion rate of 89.7% (Who Scored).

Arsenal signing Arthur Melo would be a big statement and at the same time, it will very much be the Hammers’ loss.
He has plenty of experience of playing at the very highest level and is a serial winner with two league titles, a Coppa Italia and a Copa Libertadores to his name.
Football Transfers recently described him as a ‘fantastic’ player.
Arthur would compliment Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek perfectly in the middle of the park at the London Stadium.
It may end up being a moot point though, with Arsenal allegedly entering talks to sign Arthur Melo.
Missing out on the talented Brazilian would be a big blow for David Moyes and West Ham, that’s for sure.
