West Ham United are reportedly now in the race to sign Arthur from Juventus in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to a report from Sport Mediaset who claim that it is growing increasingly more likely that the 25-year-old midfielder will leave Juventus this summer.
Arsenal are allegedly leading the charge for Arthur but the Hammers are keeping tabs on him as well.
Central midfield will definitely be an area at the London Stadium where West Ham manager David Moyes wants to strengthen in the summer.
Mark Noble will be retired soon whilst Alex Kral will almost certainly be sent back to Spartak Moscow after his underwhelming loan spell with the Hammers.
And it seems as though Moyes has a fairly ambitious plan up his sleeve…
West Ham eyeing move to sign Juventus midfielder in the summer
Juventus ace Arthur is firmly on the Hammers’ radar ahead of the summer transfer window according to a report from Sport Mediaset.
What an incredible signing the Brazilian would be for West Ham. He is a truly exceptional player.
The Times reported at the end of last year that Juve could demand as much as £50 million for the 25-year-old. With the Turin giants being so desperate to move him on though, perhaps they will lower their demands.
Arthur is a deep-lying play-maker by trade and he possesses stunning technical ability.
The former Barcelona ace’s passing is the best attribute he has. In 20 Serie A appearances this season, Arthur has made 34.9 passes on average per game and has recorded a completion rate of 89.7% (Who Scored).
He has plenty of experience of playing at the very highest level and is a serial winner with two league titles, a Coppa Italia and a Copa Libertadores to his name.
Arthur would compliment Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek perfectly in the middle of the park at the London Stadium.
And if West Ham sign the Juventus midfielder this summer, it would be a very bold statement indeed.
