West Ham target Arnaut Danjuma upstaged Ivan Toney in the Championship play-offs on Monday night.
And we think the Holland international might just be better suited to the Hammers than the Englishman would be.
Bournemouth beat Brentford 1-0 at the Vitality Stadium and Danjuma ran the show. He scored the winner too!
Meanwhile, Toney had one of his quite games.
Now, the 24-year-old Dutchman is a winger by trade, but he can operate anywhere along the front-line.
The 25-year-old Brentford man is a centre-forward. And we just don’t think the former Peterborough ace would suit David Moyes’s system at West Ham.
He rarely runs the channels and does most of his work in and around the penalty box.
Someone like Adam Armstrong would be far more suited to the Hammers.
Or even Danjuma!
Arnaut Danjuma should be a priority for West Ham
The Sun claims that Hammers boss David Moyes wants to bring the 24-year-old winger to the London Stadium this summer.
He certainly has the ability and physical attributes needed to be converted into a central striker.
And we all know how much Moyes loves a project!
Danjuma has been in exceptional form for the Cherries this season. The 24-year-old has racked up 16 goals and eight assists in 36 games so far (Transfermarkt).
We all know how many goals Toney has scored, but the Dutch flyer just suits the way we play far more than the Brentford man does.
David Moyes’s decision should be a simple one this summer.
Signing Danjuma instead of Toney should be an absolute no-brainer.
Whether we would be able to prise the 24-year-old away from Bournemouth, however, remains to be seen.
