The silky 25-year-old Baggies star has been in truly sensational form this season.

He has 11 goals and five assists to his name in 32 games so far (Transfermarkt).

The Hammers will surely look to get a deal to sign Jesse Lingard on a permanent basis wrapped up as soon as possible.

If we fail to make that happen, however, David Moyes will undoubtedly look to bring a player with similar attributes to the London Stadium.

West Ham linked with Matheus Pereira

The Express recently claimed that the Hammers could attempt to sign the West Brom star if we fail to land Lingard in the summer.

The West Ham fans were buzzing about being linked with the talented South American, and rightly so.

The fleet-footed play-maker has pulled the strings all season long at the Hawthorns for Sam Allardyce’s side.

And he would be a superb fit for West Ham. If we don’t manage to sign Lingard of course.

That’s according to The Express who claim that Sam Allardyce will not accept anything less than £30 million for Pereira.

If that turns out to be the case, we can kiss goodbye our chances of signing the skilful South American.

And missing out on Pereira would be a real shame. He has the kind of ability that would instantly endear himself to the West Ham fans. Oh well, let’s just hope we manage to sign Jesse Lingard.
