The 25-year-old has made a slow start to life with the Hammers since moving to the London Stadium from Brentford originally on loan in October last year.

Benrahma ended up joining West Ham on a permanent £25 million deal last month, having spent the previous three months at the London Stadium on a £4 million loan deal (Eurosport).

Benny finally got his first goal for West Ham last night. The goals and assists will surely start to flow on a regular basis for Benrahma now.

The West Ham fans were delighted for the Algerian and rightly so.

The 25-year-old was praised for his efforts by his former Brentford teammate Rico Henry:

West Ham could do with a top class left-back/left wing-back in the summer.

And Rico Henry would be a very smart addition for Hammers boss David Moyes.
