West Ham are set to miss out on Boulaye Dia to Villarreal after holding vigorous talks with the Stade Reims hitman according to a report from Le 10 Sport.

The Hammers’ search for a new striker after selling Sebastien Haller to Ajax in January has so far been a fruitless one.
There must have been at least 30 centre-forwards linked with a move to the London Stadium since the winter transfer window.
One of the key targets for David Moyes was believed to be Boulaye Dia (The Athletic and Sport.fr).

West Ham miss out on Dia
The 24-year-old hitman now seems to be set for a move to Villarreal according to Le 10 Sport.
The Hammers put up a very strong fight, however.
Le 10 Sport claims that West Ham held intense discussions with the Senegalese striker. We just missed out in the end, however.

So either the Hammers owners were up to their old tricks by making derisory offers to both Reims and Dia or the player himself just fancied a move to Spain rather than England.
It matters little now, however.

Let’s just hope that the board are prepared to back David Moyes sufficiently enough so that the Scot can secure his priority transfer targets this summer.
