New West Ham head of recruitment Rob Newman won’t be able to start his role at the London Stadium until the summer transfer window is closed according to Claret and Hugh’s Sean Whetstone.

But as things stand, there have been no senior arrivals.

The thought of a new head of recruitment coming in was greeted with cheer from the West Ham fans.

ExWHUmployee claimed earlier this week that Rob Newman will be leaving his role as a scout at Manchester City to take over as the east London outfit’s new HOR.

It was viewed as a big coup for the Hammers considering our previous struggles when negotiating transfer deals.

It is incredibly frustrating that Newman will not be able to begin his work until the transfer window has slammed shut, however.
