West Ham United have had another bid rejected for Valentin Carboni, but we now know exactly much we’ll have to pay to sign the teenage starlet.
Monza ace Valentin Carboni is someone who has emerged as a target for West Ham over the past few weeks, and we apparently had a £12 million bid rejected for him just yesterday.
Hammers boss David Moyes seems to be intent on bringing some of the best young attacking players to the London Stadium, and is believed to be chasing 19-year-old Nordsjaelland winger Ibrahim Osman as well.
Both Osman and Carboni are incredible talents, and it’s hugely encouraging that we’re even being linked with them.
These are exciting times for the West Ham fans. However, it seems as though we may have to wait until the summer before we have any chance at all of signing Carboni…

West Ham told we can sign Valentin Carboni for £25 million in the summer
According to a report from Tuttomercatoweb, Monza will sell the 18-year-old to the Hammers in the summer, but only for €30 million (£25 million).
Listen, the Argentine youngster is a real talent, but £25 million seems like an awful lot of money to me for a player who is completely unproven in the Premier League right now.
I’m not suggesting that he’s not an extremely talented young player, but it seems to me like he needs at least another 18 months with Monza to develop further.
The South American teen has already bagged two goals and three assists in 15 senior games for Monza (Transfermarkt).
Carboni has incredible technique for someone so young and has the potential to go on and become a real star of the game.
That said, he’s just not worth the risk for £25 million in my opinion. If West Ham do sign Valentin Carboni within the next six months, I would expect it to be for a fee well below £20 million.
