Aaron Ramsey is pushing for a Premier League return and West Ham are keen to sign him in January according to a report from Calcio Mercato.

Ramsey being linked with a move to the Hammers is a story that will not go away.

The links started back last year and carried on throughout the summer (Calcio Mercato).

The former Arsenal man was a truly brilliant player in his day. West Ham know all about his class.

The 68-capped Wales international has faced the Hammers 13 times throughout his career, winning 10 times and losing only twice. He also bagged three goals and three assists in the process (Transfermarkt).

Ramsey has been somewhat of a nemesis for West Ham throughout the years during his time with Arsenal.

The 30-year-old is not the player he once was, however. Injuries have wreaked havoc with his progress over the past few years.

Since the start of the 2018/19 season, Ramsey has missed 271 days of action (Transfermarkt).

That hasn’t stopped West Ham from weighing up a move to sign him though…

The Hammers are keen to bring the midfielder back to England according to a report from Calcio Mercato.

David Moyes strengthened his central midfield ranks with the addition of Alex Kral in the summer.

It seems as though the Scot has further reinforcements lined up for his engine room at the London Stadium, however.

With Ramsey trying to force a move back to the Premier League, West Ham have allegedly thrown their hat in the ring for his signature.

Signing Ramsey would make absolutely no sense whatsoever though. It was only a few days ago that David Moyes was telling reporters how his main focus is on signing the best young players out there.

The Hammers boss wants physically robust, energetic and powerful players. The Welshman just doesn’t fit into that criteria.

It would be a huge surprise if David Moyes signed Aaron Ramsey in January.

We just don’t think there is any truth to this one whatsoever. Who knows though, perhaps Moyes has a surprise in store for us in January.
