West Ham United will reportedly have a £25 million bid accepted for a top-class centre-forward this summer.

David Moyes desperately needs to sign a centre-forward for West Ham in the summer transfer window, and there is already talk of a firm bid being made.

Michail Antonio has been absolutely brilliant for us over the past nine years, but we need to bring in an upgrade on the 34-year-old as a matter of urgency.

There is already talk that Moyes is prioritising a move to sign a replacement for Antonio before the start of next season.

And I firmly believe that if the Hammers get the signing spot on, it could take us to a whole new level entirely as a team.

If the latest round of reports are to be believed, it seems like we could be on to a winner…

Antonio is so integral to Moyes’s system and the way that it works.

The Jamaica international’s ability to run the channels and keep the opposing centre-backs occupied cannot be replicated by anyone else we have at the club.

That could all be about to change though…

According to a report from Diario de Sevilla, a £25 million bid from West Ham for Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri will be accepted this summer – a player who we’ve been linked with on multiple occasions before, most recently just last month.

The Hammers fans will be well familiar with the 26-year-old – Moyes has chased him since January 2021, and we came up directly against him in the 2021/22 Europa League campaign.

I think that the Morocco international would actually be perfect for us.

He is hard working, runs the channels, is exceptional in the air and possesses impressive technical ability.

En-Nesyri has bagged 68 goals in 189 appearances for Sevilla (Transfermarkt) – slightly better than a goal every three games, and significantly better than Antonio’s record of 79 goals in 302 games for West Ham (Transfermarkt).

If a £25 million bid is what it takes to bring the Moroccan centre-forward to West Ham, then I think we quite simply have to make it happen.
