West Ham United’s summer transfer window business is far from finished it seems, and that really is hugely exciting news.
Hammers head coach Julen Lopetegui has already made eight brilliant new signings for West Ham this summer.
And Lopetegui has already admitted that his business isn’t done yet, with the end goal to have two quality players in every single position.
West Ham are acting like a proper football club now, and have been acting with stunning efficiency in the transfer market.
The Hammers will be a real problem for teams in the Premier League this season, there is no doubt about that.
However, there is definitely still room for improvement.
It has been claimed that Lopetegui’s priority is now to move on some of the deadwood, but one or two new additions could be brought in as well.
Ernest Muci could be West Ham bound
According to a report from Turkish media outlet Takvim, West Ham are eyeing up a £12 million move for Ernest Muci.
The Besiktas ace is an attacking midfielder by trade, but he can also operate as a left winger or even through the middle as a centre-forward.
Last season he bagged 13 goals and two assists in 51 games for Besiktas and Legia Warsaw, and he’s very highly rated out in Turkey.
The 12-capped Albania international has bundles of energy, is incredibly athletic and technically gifted.
However, his physique is slight and that could be a problem given the power, pace and intensity that Premier League football involves.
Signing Ernest Muci may well be classed as somewhat of a risk for West Ham, but the £12 million fee needed mitigates that risk somewhat.
I think the Albanian could be a really useful option for the Hammers if Lopetegui decides to proceed with signing him.
