West Ham United have allegedly finally agreed a deal to sign young Brazilian defender Luizao on a free transfer from Sao Paulo.
That’s according to a report from 90 Min who claims that the Hammers beat the likes of Benfica, Sporting, Porto, Fulham, Wolves and Juventus to the 20-year-old’s signature.
Luizao will now allegedly move to the London Stadium in January having signed a pre-contract agreement with West Ham on a 3.5 year deal.

It seems as though that has all now been ironed out, and David Moyes could have an exciting new player amongst his ranks very soon indeed…
West Ham have agreed a deal to sign Brazilian defender Luizao
90 Min claims that a deal to bring the South American centre-back to the London Stadium has been wrapped up ahead of the January window.
The addition of Luizao will come at the perfect time.
If we do lose Dawson, signing an exciting young talent with similar traits will be a great move from Moysie.
The 20-year-old South American would be a superb addition for us in my opinion.
Luizao might be totally unproven in the Premier League and very rough around the edges, but signing him on a free transfer would negate the risks involved in the deal.

The 20-year-old is an aggressive young defender whose playing style is quintessentially South American, what with his tenacity and aggression.
He’s a very good tackler and is commanding in the air. It does seem as though Luizao has all of the attributes needed to succeed in England with West Ham.
He is obviously one very much for the future rather than the here and now though. The Brazilian is still very rough around the edges and he needs to really work on his passing and composure when in possession.
The news that West Ham United have agreed a deal to sign Luizao on a free transfer should be celebrated in my opinion.
