Paul Merson has made his prediction for the Tottenham vs West Ham Premier League clash this afternoon.
The Hammers head to north London to take on Tottenham in the 4:30pm Premier League kick-off today.

And what a huge game it is for both teams.
West Ham currently sit in sixth place in the Premier League table and we are ahead of seventh placed Tottenham Hotspur purely because of a superior goal difference.

David Moyes and Antonio Conte will both be fully aware of just how important this game is today.
The Hammers can’t afford to lose against Spurs if we want to keep alive our dreams of a top four finish and a defeat would also be a big blow to our top six hopes.
It should be an absolute cracker of a game. This fixture always serves up the fans a real treat.
Paul Merson predicts Tottenham vs West Ham
Spurs beat Brighton comfortably last time out but they have been incredibly inconsistent since Conte took over.
Tottenham have won only 10 of their last 18 Premier League games so there is definitely a weak spot still present at the club.
Merson thinks Spurs will have enough to beat the Hammers though and told Sportskeeda why:

“This is a massive London derby and could have a few goals in it. Spurs, in my opinion, were the better team against Manchester United despite losing, so I fancy them to win this one. Harry Kane is back in red-hot form and has really stepped up and delivered under Antonio Conte, but was there ever any doubt about the Englishman’s ability? When Conte came in, a lot of people referred to him as a defensive coach with a rather negative brand of football. However, what’s important is that Conte’s center forwards always score goals. Be it Diego Costa at Chelsea or Romelu Lukaku at Inter Milan, that has always been the case and it has seemingly continued at Tottenham with Kane. The cream always rises to the top, so I don’t find it surprising that Kane’s found his shooting boots at the business end of the season. He’s a top player and is flourishing under a fantastic coach.”
Prediction: Tottenham 3-1 West Ham
We think we might just surprise a few people this afternoon in north London.
Sure, we played 120 minutes on Thursday night and the West Ham players were dead on their feet after the dramatic win over Sevilla in the Europa League.
You cannot underestimate the feel-good factor that is emanating from the London Stadium at the moment though.
Every single person involved with the Hammers is still absolutely buzzing from Thursday night.
Hopefully the boys carry that feeling on into the huge clash with Tottenham today.
