Paul Merson has made his prediction for the Manchester United vs West Ham United Premier League clash this afternoon.

Manchester United play host to West Ham in the Premier League today, and Paul Merson has shared his three-goal prediction for the match.

Hammers boss David Moyes is under fire from some sections of the London Stadium faithful right now, after the last month of really poor performances culminated with the awful showing on Thursday night against Bournemouth.

West Ham should be going to Old Trafford today to try and win the match, especially with the hosts missing up to five key players.

I won’t be surprised one little bit if Moyes parks the bus – it’s what he does, but it will be such a shame if he does.

Manchester United are there for the taking in my opinion, and they definitely can be got at. So what does Merson think the outcome of the game will be?

Paul Merson makes Manchester United vs West Ham prediction

It’s a vital game for both teams in the race for the Premier League top six this afternoon at Old Trafford.

And Merson predicted Man United will beat us this afternoon, when writing his regular column for Sportskeeda:

“West Ham United have the ammunition to hurt Manchester United on the counter. With Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus, the Hammers have two players who have been in fine form this season, but as I’ve said earlier, you never quite know what you’re going to get with West Ham. You could say the same for Manchester United! They were absolutely dominating Newport County and raced to a two-goal lead, which is when I thought it could be a cricket score. Next thing you know, it was 2-2! I hate predicting Manchester United games, but I think they’ll just win this one thanks for home advantage.”

Now, I wouldn’t be surprised if we did lose the game today, but I really think the West Ham players should be going to Old Trafford full of confidence that they can win.

After back-to-back draws against Bournemouth and Sheffield United, we really do need all three points today, if we are to have any chance of finishing inside the top six this season.

Paul Merson thinks Manchester United will beat West Ham this afternoon though. Let’s see what happens.
