David Moyes has been handed a potentially huge boost after a West Ham United player hinted that he could be available for the Brighton game.
West Ham play host to Brighton in the Premier League tomorrow, and a win would take us just four points away from fourth placed Arsenal!
Beating the Seagulls will be easier said than done for the Hammers though, with Mohammed Kudus, Lucas Paqueta and Nayef Aguerd all set to be missing.
David Moyes has worked wonders this season, but he will definitely have his work cut-out against our old nemesis tomorrow.
That said, we beat them away from home comfortably early on in the season, and our recent form suggests that we shouldn’t fear playing against any side.
In addition to that, it seems like David Moyes could have just been handed a major fitness boost ahead of the big game tomorrow…
West Ham player hints he could be available for Brighton
Michail Antonio has been out of action since mid-November, when he picked up an injury whilst away on international duty with Jamaica.
Now, the 33-year-old was in really poor form for the Hammers before he got injured, but we desperately need him back right now as an option at the very least, with Kudus set to miss at least a month due to his participation at AFCON with Ghana, and Paqueta currently out with a knee problem.
So with that in mind, Antonio’s post on X last night was an incredibly timely one:
Whether that means he could be available for selection tomorrow remains to be seen, but even if he’s not, he obviously is very close.
I suspect that Moyes will start with Jarrod Bowen through the middle and Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals on the left and right wings tomorrow.
However, having Antonio available from the bench for the Brighton clash tomorrow would be a major boost for West Ham.
And after the Jamaican forward’s post on X last night, I reckon he might just be ready to return to the squad for the game against the Seagulls. Despite how frustrating Antonio can be at times, it will be good to have him back, along with the chaos that he brings to our attacking play at times.
