A young manager who has been extensively linked with West Ham has become a free agent after a sudden contract termination.
West Ham are on the hunt for a new manager to potentially replace David Moyes.
To that end the Hammers have been linked with no fewer than 14 managers in the last week or so.
As yet there is no real clarity on who might be a frontrunner or favourite to take over from Moyes.
Or indeed whether the Scot is definitely going, as looks increasingly like being the case.
Well now one who has been heavily linked for some time may have just fallen in their lap.
One name who has been mentioned on numerous occasions as a potential successor to Moyes is Will Still.
Do West Ham want Will, Still?
The Reims boss has been consistently and persistently linked with his boyhood club West Ham.
Still has repeatedly stated in various interviews that he dreams of managing his beloved West Ham.
The 31-year-old was linked as a potential replacement for Moyes during the dark days of last season’s Premier League campaign.
Indeed it was even claimed Still was on a six-man shortlist compiled by the Hammers board should they have parted ways with Moyes last summer.
Last month Le 10 Sport claimed that Reims fully expect Still to be gone this summer.
Well he’s certainly gone. But sooner than that report anticipated.

Still a free agent after sudden contract termination
Because the young manager linked with West Ham has become a free agent after suddenly having his contract terminated.
Stade de Reims have officially announced that Still has left the club with immediate effect.
The “mutual” decision came after a meeting with club president Jean-Pierre Caillot and CEO Matthieu Lacour on Thursday morning.
Jean-Pierre Caillot, President of Stade de Reims, said in a statement: “Stade de Reims would like to thank Will and Nicolas Still for their investment and all these beautiful emotions experienced together. At the heart of a unique Club project, known and recognized for its ability to reveal all talents, we are proud to have been able to contribute to the emergence of a coach who knew how to impose his convictions and his playing identity.
“Will was one of the actors in the new cycle initiated in 2018, and has undoubtedly enabled the SDR to take another step forward, particularly in the context of the internationalization of the locker room. Will, Nico, the big Red and White family thanks you and wishes you the best for the rest of your careers.”
Fresh West Ham links now inevitable
It is now almost inevitable Still will be linked with his boyhood club West Ham.
Especially after relations inside West Ham took a frosty turn.
David Sullivan spoke out after rumours emerged in November that he had met with Still at a West Ham game.
The Hammers majority owner said he admired the young boss but felt appointing him would be “too much of a gamble”.
Whether Sullivan has changed that stance six months on remains to be seen.
But he did caveat his comments by stating “never say never”.
