Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante will almost certainly leave Stamford Bridge at the end of this season, and that could be terrible news for West Ham.
Spanish publication Sport (print edition December 11th, page 17) claims that the 31-year-old Chelsea ace is set to join Barcelona in the summer on a free transfer, when his contract in west London comes to an end.
And if that happens, Hammers manager David Moyes had better brace himself for a summer assault from Chelsea boss Graham Potter.

And Dec’s recent comments about his desire to play Champions League football and to challenge for major honours regularly only increased the speculation that he will be off in the summer.
It would be no surprise to see him return to Stamford Bridge. As West Ham fans, we all know in our heart of hearts that that is a genuine possibility, as much as we all hope and pray that it doesn’t happen.
And it seems as though Chelsea will be in real need of someone like Rice at the end of this season…
Chelsea ace N’Golo Kante reportedly set for exit
Sport reckon that the 31-year-old is set to join Barcelona on a free transfer in the summer of 2023.
And if that happens, Potter will obviously have to replace Kante, who earns £300k-a-week at Stamford Bridge (Football League FC).
The France international is one of the very best in the business, so the player who Potter brings in will have to be just as good as him, if not better.

We all know how good Declan Rice is. He is more than capable of playing for a club like Chelsea, and he will undoubtedly go on to win major honours throughout his career.
The 23-year-old can achieve anything he wants in the game.
Of course there is still chance that he signs a new long-term deal at the London Stadium but as things stand, that seems an unlikely scenario.
My head tells me that Rice will leave West Ham at the end of this season, although my heart finds it hard to agree!
N’Golo Kante leaving Chelsea in the summer could very well mean that the writing is on the wall for the Hammers.
