West Ham’s EA Sports FC 24 ratings have been ‘leaked’ and gaming Hammers fans will be baffled at the ridiculously low scores.

Whether you are a West Ham fan who is also a gamer or just a Hammer who is fiercely proud of all things connected to the club, leaked news today may be of interest to you.

Chances are the older generations of West Ham supporters will be thinking ‘who cares’ about the ratings of the club’s players on a video game.

But the fact of the matter is a massive proportion of the younger section of of the fanbase really do.

Ahead of the annual release of the latest iteration in the long-running football video game series now known as EA Sports FC (formerly FIFA) – gamers and football fans eagerly await the unveiling of each player’s vital statistics.

And plenty of West Ham fans are among that number. The stats usually cause quite a stir across an opinionated English football landscape especially amongst the players themselves.

Some Hammers supporters may remember Jack Grealish hitting out at Declan Rice’s ratings a couple of seasons ago and calling on EA to improve them, particularly his lack of pace.

Grealish then mocked EA Sports when Rice surged from the halfway line to score a wonderful solo goal in West Ham’s 2-0 Europa League win away at Dinamo Zagreb back in 2021.

Well now West Ham’s EA Sports FC 24 ratings have been ‘leaked’ and gaming Hammers fans will be baffled at the ridiculously low scores.

Various social media accounts have supposedly let the rankings slip today – as seems to be the case this time every year. Cynics believe it is very much a PR stunt during the quiet news cycle that is the international break.

Whatever the reality, West Ham’s player ratings have been posted online by several Hammers accounts.

West Ham have just two players with a rating of 80 and above. And the Hammers do not have a single player with a rating above 81.

The vast majority of the squad is rated in the 70s – meaning there is no big drop off in quality for gamers looking to mix things up when they choose West Ham.

But overall supporters on social media seem to be very disappointed with the EA Sports FC 24 ratings, which you can see in full below.

Lucas Paqueta and £34m summer signing Edson Alvarez are the club’s top rated players with 81 each.

Exciting £38m new boy Mohammed Kudus has a rating of just 79, a score West Ham will be hoping he makes a mockery of.

Hero Jarrod Bowen, who has started the new season as he ended last – on fire – is rated at just 79 too. That’s just two higher than Danny Ings (77).

Like Kudus and Bowen, Tomas Soucek is also a 79 – which is a higher rating than Hammers new boy James Ward-Prowse (78).

Ward-Prowse’s score is the same as fellow summer arrival Konstantinos Mavropanos.
