West Ham United are eyeing up a move to sign an Italy international in January to replace one of our longest serving players – Angelo Ogbonna.
Angelo Ogbonna joined West Ham from Juventus back in the summer of 2015, and he is our second longest serving current player behind only Aaron Cresswell.

The 35-year-old has been a fantastic servant for the Hammers, but he has definitely gone downhill over the past few months, and a recent claim suggested that he could be sold this winter.
David Moyes is slightly short in the central defensive ranks, and he could use the January transfer window to addresses that particular squad deficiency.
Kurt Zouma has struggled with his long-standing knee problem in recent weeks, whilst Nayef Aguerd continues to make mistakes far too frequently.
Meanwhile, Konstantinos Mavropanos is still settling into life at the London Stadium, and Moyes could be set to really bolster his central defensive ranks this winter…

West Ham eyeing Angelo Ogbonna upgrade
The 35-year-old former Juve man’s time at the London Stadium could be coming to an end.
That’s because Roma Metropolitan Magazine are claiming that Hammers boss David Moyes is keen to bring Italy international Alessandro Buongiorno to the London Stadium in the January window.
The 24-year-old Torino man has been capped twice by his country and is enjoying a very good season out in Italy so far.
In 13 Serie A appearances so far this term, Buongiorno has scored two goals, and has averaged 2.5 tackles, 2.1 interceptions, 3.8 clearances and 2.9 successful aerial duels per match. He has made 38.9 passes per game on average and has record a completion rate of 83% (Who Scored).
Standing at 6ft 4in tall, the Italian cuts an imposing physique, and he seems to be ideally suited to the physicality of the Premier League.
The problem for West Ham is that Torino are demanding at least €30 million (£26 million) for centre-back, and Jose Mourinho’s Roma want to sign him as well.
So it remains to be seen whether West Ham are able to sign him this winter. Let’s hope that Moyes and Tim Steidten manage to work their magic, because Buongiorno would be a top tier signing for us.
