West Ham United have allegedly been told to pay £25 million for Napoli attacker Hirving Lozano this summer.

That’s according to a report from Area Napoli who claim that the Hammers could face competition from Crystal Palace for the 26-year-old’s signature this summer.

Hammers boss David Moyes has been heavily linked with a move to bring the 56-capped Mexico international to the London Stadium already this summer.

Signing a top-class attacking wide player will be one of Moyes’s key priorities between now and the end of the summer transfer window with Andriy Yarmolenko having been released.

The Scot needs to add more pace, creativity and guile to his attacking options. Ad it seems as though he has a great chance to do exactly that for a very reasonable price as well…

West Ham told fee needed for Hirving Lozano

Area Napoli claim that the Hammers need to pay £25 million if we want to prise the 26-year-old winger away from the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona this summer.

We think that would represent value good value indeed for West Ham.

Lozano is a top-class player and possesses all of the attributes that the Hammers sometimes lack inside the final third.

Lozano has struggled with Napoli, bagging just 26 goals and 13 assists in 114 games (Transfermarkt).

The Mexican is more than capable of producing the goods consistently at the very highest level, however. He proved that during his time with PSV Eindhoven.

The 26-year-old winger racked up 40 goals and 23 assists in 79 appearances for the Eredivisie outfit (Transfermarkt).

Lozano can play anywhere along the front-line, possesses real pace and has exceptional technical ability.

Mexico manager Juan Carlos Osorio labelled Lozano as ‘unbelievable’, as quoted by Tribunu:

“Since he moved to PSV Eindhoven, I think he has made the next step up. He’s an unbelievable prospect. His pace, his ability to take people on makes me believe that he is a player that will go very far, hopefully, he can show that in the next game. I just think that whoever takes a chance on him will do well. His pace and again his ability to take people on, he can play in any league and any place. I think he will be able to – and he has the tools to play – in the Premier League.”

The Napoli star obviously has the talent, despite the fact that his move to Serie A just hasn’t worked out.

And perhaps a move to West Ham would help Hirving Lozano reinvigorate his career.

However, whether the Hammers board will be prepared to shell out £25 million for the Mexican remains to be seen.
