West Ham striker target Jonathan David shows David Moyes what he is missing with absolute worldie of a goal for Canada.
The Hammers were seriously interested in signing David from Lille in the January transfer window according to a report from The Daily Mail.
As angry West Ham fans know only too well, though, the window closed with no new arrivals.

Much of the focus in the last couple of days before the deadline was on West Ham’s reported moves for Raphinha, Kalvin Phillips and striker Darwin Nunez.
But since then The Athletic have claimed West Ham explored a move for David too.

West Ham target Jonathan David shows David Moyes what he is missing with an absolute worldie of a goal
Well David showed Moyes what he is missing with an absolutely world class goal in Canada’s recent World Cup Qualifying win over Honduras.
The victory – along with other 2-0 wins over USA and El Salvador, in which David also scored – gives Canada one foot in the Qatar World Cup.
David took a powerfully struck ball over the top onto his chest while running at pace then nodded it on with his head perfectly before lobbing the onrushing goalkeeper from 30 yards.

Three deadly touches that have to be seen to be appreciated.
Goodness knows West Ham needed a striker.
Let’s hope Moyes is only missing this kind of talent for a few months and we get to see the brilliant David – who has scored 29 goals in 78 games for Lille and a staggering 20 in 27 appearances for Canada – in the claret and blue next season.

David posted a video of the goal on his Twitter with the words: “The dream is getting closer.”
For West Ham fans that dream is seeing him sign for the Hammers come the summer.
What. A. Goal.
