The Hammers face the prospect of relegation down to the Championship whilst the Gunners are currently sitting pretty at the top of the league table.

This could be a very long afternoon for us if the players don’t seriously improve their recent level of performances…

West Ham starting lineup vs Arsenal confirmed

David Moyes has made eight changes from the draw out in Gent on Thursday night.

In come Lukasz Fabianski, Thilo Kehrer, Aaron Cresswell, Kurt Zouma, Lucas Paqueta, Tomas Soucek, Said Benrahma and Michail Antonio in place of Alphonse Areola, Ben Johnson, Nayef Aguerd, Angelo Ogbonna, Emerson Palmieri, Flynn Downes, Manuel Lanzini, and Danny Ings,

If we are to have any chance whatsoever of getting a result today, the players have to be at it from the very first whistle.

The Hammers need to be tight and compact defensively but also offer much more going forward than we have done of late.

The Gunners are one of the best two teams in the Premier League. They are had and shoulders above everyone else alongside Manchester City.

And if we play like we did against Gent, we could be in for a really tough and painful afternoon today.

Hopefully the West Ham players turn up and we at least make things difficult for Arsenal.
