Mark Noble took over as the West Ham Sporting Director in January, and the club’s ex-skipper is obviously scouting around for the country’s best young talent.

If the Hammers are to make genuine progress over the next few years, David Moyes needs to sign young, talented and hungry players with a point to prove.
And it seems as though one of the very best is on our radar…
West Ham Sporting Director Mark Noble making phone-calls about ‘unbelievable’ midfielder
Troy Deeney is currently playing in the Championship with Birmingham City.
And he has claimed that Mark Noble has been asking him about one of his young teammates:

“George Hall is a wonderful, wonderful talent, I can’t tell you what he does great, but he does everything well. When you watch a game you go ‘who is that?’ Because he’s quick, he’s agile and he scores goals. I’ve had a bit of stick actually because I did another podcast and I said that people have called me about him. As you know, in the industry these young players get a reputation and people start to do background checks. Mark Noble called me from West Ham, we were talking about Longelo and he said ‘while I’ve got you, what about Hally?’ and I said if you can get him, get him, he’s unbelievable. That wasn’t me saying we should sell him and I want him to leave, it’s just conversation that happens in football.”
The 18-year-old is certainly a really exciting young talent.
The youngster has bagged a goal and one assist in 26 Championship appearances for Birmingham this season (Transfermarkt). He is technically gifted and has power and athleticism in abundance – just what we need at West Ham.
If the Hammers sign George Hall this summer, he would be a really exciting addition for the club.
Let’s hope that Mark Noble manages to bring the Birmingham ace to West Ham this summer.
