West Ham to make official bid to sign ‘extremely dangerous’ Brazil international

An official bid for a highly talented Brazil international could soon be on its way from West Ham United.

Julen Lopetegui desperately needs to bolster his attacking ranks even further still at West Ham this summer, and official bid is about to go in for a proven striker.

The Hammers head coach is said to be prioritising a move to sign a centre-forward before the summer transfer window slams shut.

The West Ham chief cannot start the new season with Michail Antonio as his number one striker – he absolutely must bring in a big upgrade on the Jamaica international.

The addition of a top-class centre-forward who suits Lopetegui’s system could take West Ham to a whole new level entirely.

It now seems as though Lopetegui has someone very specific in mind for the job at hand…

West Ham to make official bid to sign Yuri Alberto

The Corinthians hitman is all set for a big move to Europe, according to a report out in Brazil.

It has just been claimed by BolaVIP that West Ham are set to make an official offer for Yuri Alberto imminently, after making a couple of enquires to Corinthians.

He could be available for around £17 million this summer – decent value in this day and age.

The 23-year-old actually admitted last year that West Ham made an official £15 million bid for him in 2022.

Alberto, capped once for the Brazil national team, would be a strong addition for the Hammers as far as I’m concerned.

Football Talent Scout describe the Corinthians ace as ‘extremely dangerous’, ‘powerful, athletic & fast’ and the ‘complete striker’.

Yuri Alberto is a very hard worker as well and is always willing to make tireless runs into the channels, and is definitely well suited to leading the line on his own in Lopetegui’s high-press system.

However, it is worth noting that he isn’t the most prolific of strikers, with just 83 goals in 251 career games to his name.

I would suggest that the Hammers head coach pursues someone with a better goal record. That said, if West Ham really do make an official bid for Yuri Alberto and we end up signing him, I’ll back Lopetegui’s decision.
