West Ham may not have a long wait for a reported manager target after Paul Merson makes a claim about Chelsea boss Graham Potter.
There have once again been growing calls for David Moyes to be sacked following the defeat to rivals Spurs at the weekend.
The Hammers are in the bottom three and staring relegation in the face having won just five of their 23 games this season.
While West Ham boast one of the better defences in the top flight, scoring goals has been a serious issue all term.

Those calling for Moyes to be sacked will point to the fact the malaise in West Ham’s Premier League form stretches back over a year with just 14 wins in 51 matches in that time.
A host of managers have been linked as potential replacements should West Ham decide to sack Moyes, including out of work Rafa Benitez and under fire Chelsea boss Potter.
Indeed one report claims West Ham are literally waiting for Chelsea to sack Potter in order to appoint him as Moyes’ replacement.
Well West Ham may not have to long wait for their manager target after a Merson claim about Potter.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Merson said he believes Potter needs to be given time and is the right man for his boyhood club Chelsea.

But Merson believes the alleged potential West Ham managerial candidate could be sacked if the Blues lose to Spurs this weekend.
“People think Potter isn’t the right man for the (Chelsea) job, but I think he is,” Merson said on Sky Sports.
“For me, I think give him time. I don’t see it (Chelsea’s poor form) changing too quickly. I look at the players and I don’t get it.
“This Sunday is Chelsea’s biggest game of the season – it’s Tottenham. If he loses this one I’m not sure there is a way back because the fans will go ballistic.”
On the flip side, though, Merson has warned West Ham’s owners and fans that sacking Moyes would be a fatal mistake.
He believes what they do next over Moyes will directly decide whether the Hammers stay up or not.
