West Ham United are eyeing up a top-class left-back from one of our London rivals in the January transfer window.
The January transfer window will be a vitally important one for West Ham boss David Moyes, and the addition of a left-back should be one of his main priorities.
The Hammers manager desperately needs to add more competition and cover for Emerson Palmieri, with Aaron Cresswell set to leave the London Stadium.
And it seems like Moyes has a really exciting player lined up this winter.
West Ham have made an enquiry for Chelsea left-back Ian Maatsen, according to a report from Sport Italia journalist Rudy Galetti.
The Hammers have been linked with a move to sign the 21-year-old on numerous occasions in the past, and he recently admitted that he might have to leave Stamford Bridge in order to start playing regular first-team football.

And now West Ham seem to be ready to pounce for the highly-rated Netherlands under-21 international’s signature…
West Ham eye up January transfer window left-back signing
Bues left-back Maatsen is thought to be firmly on the Hammers’ radar this winter, according to Rudy Galetti.
And it is suggested that West Ham have already made an enquiry for the talented Chelsea defender ahead of the January window:
I would absolutely love Maatsen to move to the London Stadium – he’d be absolutely perfect for us and would be the long-term successor to Emerson.
The Athletic claim that Ian Maatsen could be available for around £20 million, and that would represent fantastic value for West Ham in my opinion.
He possesses pace in abundance, is a brilliant tackler and has the energy and stamina required to play the wing-back role if need be as well.
As mentioned earlier, he would be a truly massive upgrade on Cresswell, and would really push Emerson for his place in the starting lineup.
If the Chelsea left-back rocks up at the London Stadium in the January transfer window, it will be a transfer that the West Ham fans should be hugely excited about.
