West Ham feel that appointing a new manager being linked as a David Moyes replacement is “too much hard work” as an inside man responds to Jose Mourinho claims.
Moyes is a man under intense pressure with West Ham one point off the relegation zone having won only six of their 25 games this season.
West Ham majority stakeholder David Sullivan told Hammers News this week that the board are still behind the manager.
But Sullivan also let it be known he – like the rest of us – was far from impressed with the performance in the Hammers horror 4-0 defeat to Brighton last time out.
A host of managers have been linked as potential replacements for Moyes this season, the latest being Roma boss Mourinho.

West Ham are reported to have taken ‘concrete steps’ to sound out a ‘flattered’ Mourinho, a Roma source has claimed.
An exclusive from La Roma 24 in Italy claimed West Ham delivered a ‘notable offer’ to Mourinho for a sensational return to London and the Premier League.
The report claims Mourinho is ‘flattered’ by West Ham’s interest and alleged offer of a ‘rich contract’.
But West Ham say appointing a new manager is “too much hard work” as an inside man responds to the Mourinho claims.
That’s according to Claret and Hugh who state a key source inside West Ham has told them to forget high maintenance Mourinho.
“Once again the suggestion (that Mourinho could replace Moyes) – made a few weeks ago – is proving to be absolute fantasy with a key source at the Hammers explaining Mourinho never has and never will be a target,” Claret and Hugh state.

“Our source said: “Let’s be honest, he’s proved himself hard work at most clubs he has joined”.”
Yes Mourinho is a spiky character and can be difficult for an owner to work with.
But let’s have it right. The Portuguese would keep West Ham up with his impact and charisma alone.
And given relegation could damage West Ham to the tune of over £500m all told, surely that would justify putting up with Mourinho’s ego and tantrums?
It is clearly a move that is never going to happen, though, based on the response from inside West Ham.
Unless of course West Ham were to come under new ownership who had a different take on appointing the serial winner.
