West Ham eye move to sign Eintracht Frankfurt nemesis in the January transfer window who has starred at the World Cup.
Hammers boss David Moyes is expected to be busy man in the transfer window this winter, with numerous additions needed at the London Stadium.
And it seems as though the signing of a central midfielder is on Moyes’s radar ahead of the January window opening.
West Ham and Aston Villa allegedly both want to sign Djibril Sow from Eintracht Frankfurt.

That’s according to a report from Sport 1 who claim that West Ham or Aston Villa will need to pay at least €30 million (£26 million) for the 25-year-old’s signature in January.
The Hammers fans will know Sow very well indeed. West Ham came up against the Switzerland international twice in the Europa League last season and I have to say, he really impressed, dominating the physical battle in the middle of the park.
He provided the assist for Daichi Kamada to score Eintracht Frankfurt’s second goal at the London Stadium during the first-leg of our semi-final clash with the German side.
It seems as though the London Stadium faithful could be seeing Sow at close quarters after the New Year…
West Ham keen to sign Eintracht Frankfurt nemesis in January
According to a report from Sport 1, the Hammers and Villa are battling it out for the £26 million-rated central midfielder this winter
I would love to see Sow at the London Stadium. He was brilliant for Eintracht Frankfurt against us last season and I think he would add so much to Moyes’s central midfield ranks.
He is an orthodox central midfielder by trade, but can also operate in the deep-lying role or even in a more advanced position.
The Swiss ace possess impressive technique, has a great engine, is a superb passer of the football and never shirks the physical battle.

In 15 Bundesliga appearances so far this season, the 25-year-old has bagged two goals. During those outings, Sow has averaged 1.2 tackles, 1.1 interceptions and 0.8 clearances per game (Who Scored).
During those 15 appearances, the midfielder has made 44.9 passes on average per match and has recorded an impressive completion rate of 86.5% (Who Scored).
£26 million may seem like a lot of money for someone who is totally unproven in the Premier League. However, I think it would represent very good value for a player with Sow’s all-round quality, strength, technical ability and outstanding potential.
West Ham are allegedly keen to sign our Eintracht Frankfurt nemesis Dijbril Sow in the January transfer window.
And I think it would be a very wise move from David Moyes, if he does indeed make it happen.
