Fussball Transfers reckon that the 25-year-old former Gunner could end up at either the London Stadium or Goodison Park this summer.

Listen, I think Maitland-Niles would be a decent addition to our squad on a free transfer but I wont be losing any sleep if he joins Everton instead.

He is technically very good and has pace to burn. The 25-year-old also has energy, stamina and athleticism in abundance.

The Englishman is a very solid player but my main problem with him is that he hasn’t really nailed down any position in particular.

Sure, versatility is a good thing but it can also be a hindrance to players at times – and that has certainly been the case with the 25-year-old.

I think that West Ham need to make some really exciting additions this summer, with a Europa League campaign on the horizon.

Let’s just let Everton have Ainsley Maitland-Niles if they really want him.
