Versatile defender Thilo Kehrer has already proven to be a truly outstanding addition for West Ham United.

In fact, we think that the 25-year-old will go down as the best value-for-money signing from the summer transfer window.

According to a report from The Sun, West Ham signed Kehrer for just £13 million, including add-ons – what an unbelievable bargain.

He has already made a very big impression at the London Stadium.

Kehrer made an inauspicious start to life at West Ham, after he gave a penalty away against Brighton during his debut.

The Germany international bounced back in fine style, however, with strong performances against Viborg, Aston Villa, Tottenham and Chelsea respectively.

Kehrer has already endeared himself to the West Ham faithful with his passionate, swashbuckling displays.

West Ham ace Thilo Kehrer the signing of the summer

The Germany international has demonstrated his blistering pace regularly during his opening six games in a West Ham shirt.

That speed enables us to push higher up the pitch – something that will be a necessity if we are to become more of a possession based team.

His ability to make penetrating passes through the lines is offering West Ham something that we haven’t possessed in decades.

Kehrer has averaged 1.3 interceptions and 3.3 clearances per match in four Premier League outings for the Hammers so far. During those appearances, he has made 48.5 passes on average per game, and has recorded an impressive completion rate of 86.1% (Who Scored).

£13 million for a proven Germany international and an ex-Paris Saint-Germain player seems like absolute peanuts.

On top of his undoubted quality, he possesses incredible passion and it seems as though he has genuine love for the club already.

West Ham boss David Moyes has performed an absolute masterstroke by bringing Kehrer to the London Stadium for such a bargain fee.

And we think that West Ham signing Thilo Kehrer for £13 million is better than any other business conducted by all of the Premier League clubs in the summer transfer window.
