West Ham United forward Jarrod Bowen has come out fighting when speaking to the club’s official website.
Jarrod Bowen has been in poor form himself since returning from injury, with West Ham dropping down to ninth place in the table having reached the dizzy heights of sixth before the new year.
Hammers boss David Moyes was forced to bring Bowen, 27, back to action from injury sooner than he would have wanted in the middle of last month.
West Ham need our talisman Bowen to start firing again now. He hasn’t scored a goal or bagged an assist since he got injured during our FA Cup clash with Bristol City at the start of January.
Before then, the former Hull City star had racked up 14 goals and five assists (Transfermarkt). Now we need him back to his best.
Jarrod Bowen sends West Ham fans message
The 27-year-old has been speaking to WHUFC.com about the current goings on at the club.
And Bowen suggested that things are now looking up, with Moyes nearly able to call upon a full squad of players:
“We’ve nearly got a full squad now, which is massive, especially with Europe coming up as well. We’ve got a lot of games so we need that strength in depth, and we feel like we’re almost at our best again now.”
Bowen sounds very confident indeed, and that’s great to hear. Hopefully Lucas Paqueta will be back soon, and we’ll have our front three back together and working in tandem again.
We desperately need a win against Brentford tomorrow night, and we’re fortunate enough that the teams in and around us in the table dropped points this weekend.
If West Ham are to beat the Bees, we need Jarrod Bowen to be on top form, and I’m expecting a big performance from him at the London Stadium.
