The 23-year-old joined the Hammers on loan from Spartak Moscow on transfer deadline day in the summer.

West Ham have an option to buy the Czech Republic international midfielder next season for around £12 million plus add-ons (ExWHUemployee).

Kral has made a very slow start to life at the London Stadium, however.

He has only played one game for the Hammers – away at Manchester United in the Carabao Cup, and he really impressed.

The Czech ace contracted Covid whilst away on international duty last month, however.

Tomas Soucek backs West Ham ace Alex Kral to come good

The 26-year-old Hammers star is a big fan of his fellow countryman.

He backed Kral to return to his best very soon having missed some time from training whilst isolating:

“Alex has also returned to the team and is training normally with us. I believe that he will get together quickly and will be ready for the next matches for the club and the national team. The ten-day quarantine was very unpleasant for him.”

Having Kral back and available is hugely important for David Moyes with a Europa League game to come against Genk tomorrow night.

The 23-year-old will surely get some minutes with Declan Rice and Soucek likely to be rested.

Kral looks like a tidy little player. It’s just a shame that we haven’t seen much of him so far.

Hopefully that will all change from now on.
