West Ham and Tottenham stars go viral after hilarious celebration snub

Rice is as important to West Ham as Kane is to Spurs.

Both are enjoying fine seasons once again and are two of the first names on the England teamsheet.

But West Ham midfielder Rice quickly became a meme online after an hilarious snub from Kane when the Tottenham striker celebrated his latest Three Lions goal.

Rice stood with his hand raised looking for a high five from Kane as England players huddled to celebrate.

But the Spurs star unknowingly snubbed the West Ham man.

Unperturbed Rice continued to hold his hand aloft to join in the celebrations but there were no other takers.

The 22-year-old West Ham star saw the funny side after the game as the memes started rolling out on social media.

Kane apologises to Rice

“I’m waiting for the.. Hello darkness my old friend meme to come,” Rice said on Twitter.

And Tottenham forward Kane responded with an apology.

“Sorry mate should have checked my shoulder,” Kane replied.

There is no love lost between West Ham and Tottenham.

Particularly this season after West Ham’s now famous comeback from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 at Spurs and the recent 2-1 victory at the London Stadium.

But Rice and Kane showed that club rivalries are left at the door when meeting up with England.

The Hammer replied saying: “All love skip,” alongside laughing and handshake emojis.

When the international break is over Rice and Kane will go back to battling it out in the race for the Champions League places.

Fifth-placed West Ham are two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea with nine games to play.

Spurs are one point behind West Ham in sixth in what looks to be five-team race for the final Champions League spot.
