Tottenham could do West Ham a Dan-Axel Zagadou favour as report claims Antonio Conte could sell 'amazing' Japhet Tanganga to Roma

Tottenham could do West Ham a Dan-Axel Zagadou favour as report claims Antonio Conte could sell 'amazing' Japhet Tanganga to Roma

Jose Mourinho could be set to hand West Ham a huge Dan-Axel Zagadou boost by signing Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga.

Tuttomercatoweb claim that Roma boss Mourinho could bring the 23-year-old Tottenham ace to the Italian capital and if he does, he will no longer be interested in signing free agent Zagadou.

West Ham manager David Moyes is keen to sign Zagadou this summer but allegedly faces competition from Roma (The Sun).

The Hammers were handed a boost yesterday with the news that the giant centre-back wants to move to the Premier League.

And it now seems as though there is more good news for the West Ham fans to digest regarding Zagadou…

West Ham handed huge Zagadou boost by Mourinho

Tuttomercatoweb claim that Spurs could sell Japhet Tanganga to Roma and if the Italians do sign the 23-year-old, they will no longer be in the race for Zagadou.

Mourinho is clearly a big fan of Tanganga and once labelled him as ‘amazing’ (The Evening Standard).

It would be no surprise to see the Tottenham star end up in the Italian capital and if he does join Roma, the door may well be open for West Ham to sign Zagadou.

The French free agent would be an exceptional addition for the Hammers.

He only made 15 Bundesliga appearances for Borussia Dortmund last season but don’t let that fool you, he really is an exceptional defender.

BVB’s official website describe the centre-back as an ‘incredible’ player.

Standing at 6ft 6in tall, Zagadou is strong in the air but he is also quick along the ground.

The Dortmund ace is very good with the ball at his feet as well. In 15 league appearances last season he made an average of 60.2 passes per game and registered an incredibly impressive 88.2% completion rate (Who Scored).

He’s left footed as well – a crucial attribute for any defender David Moyes brings in this summer because it means that he can play at left-back if need be as well.

His injury history is a huge worry but the fact that West Ham can sign Zagadou on a free transfer this summer hugely negates that risk.

And if Tottenham sell Tanganga to Roma, it seems as though it could be all systems go for the Hammers regarding a move to sign the ex-Dortmund free agent.
