West Ham United right-back Vladimir Coufal has risked the wrath of the fans with his latest comments that were completely misguided.
Vladimir Coufal has been in decent form for West Ham on the whole this season, but in general, our performances have been really poor as a team.
It was so refreshing to see us play some proper direct, attacking and free-flowing football during our win over Brentford on Monday night.
David Moyes finally let the shackles off his players against the Bees, and that was exactly what we as fans have been demanding all season.
That specific point has seemingly been completely missed by Coufal…

Vladimir Coufal completely out of touch with the West Ham fans
Coufal has been speaking to Sky Sports about our season so far.
And the Czech Republic international made really strange comments about the Hammers fans’ expectations being too high:
“I maybe understand a bit of criticism but we have had some good results against top teams, so It’s a bit unnecessary. I think that sometimes the expectations of the fans is a bit too much. I think some of the pre-season predictions that we’ll fight top four or top three, too much.”
Here’s the thing Vlad…none of us expect our team to finish inside the top three or four.
All we ask for as fans is for our team to be competitive, to have a go and for the players not to sit back and invite pressure on themselves.
That’s all the West Ham fans have ever wanted, and Vladimir Coufal is clearly well out of touch with that.
Hopefully he realises he has made a bad error of judgement, and rectifies his comments in the coming weeks.
