Thierry Nevers has officially left West Ham United to join Moldovan Super Liga side FC Sheriff Tiraspol.
West Ham signed Thierry Nevers from Reading in the summer of 2021, but unfortunately for him, he failed to impress during his time in East London.
Hammers boss David Moyes didn’t give the 21-year-old a single minute of action for the senior team (Transfermarkt), and he was shipped out on loan to Newport Country and Bradford over the past two seasons.
Nevers bagged eight goals and three assists in 18 games for the West Ham under-21s – fairly impressive numbers.
However, he clearly wasn’t good enough to feature at senior level, and now he’s set to try his luck out in Moldova…

West Ham have confirmed via their official website that the young forward has moved on from the London Stadium to join Sheriff Tiraspol.
Archie Woods has left the Hammers as well.
Nevers arrived at the London Stadium with a big reputation as a highly talented young attacker.
However, he has failed to progress and develop during his time with West Ham. Now we’ll see if the Moldovan Super League is more his level.
Sheriff Tiraspol have dominated over the past couple of decades or so, winning the league title a record 21 times.
Listen, Thierry Nevers was clearly not good enough to play at the highest level for West Ham. It will be interesting to monitor his development over the next few years though, and to see what he makes of his career.
