The Premier League owe West Ham United a huge apology in my opinion.
West Ham are currently flying high in the Premier League right now, and we’re sitting in sixth spot in the table.
The Hammers face Brighton tomorrow, but unfortunately for us we will be without Mohammed Kudus, after Ghana refused our appeal to release him for AFCON duty after the game.
David Moyes will be gutted that he will not be able to call upon the 23-year-old attacker for the clash with the Seagulls.
Kudus has 10 goals and one assist to his name for West Ham already this season (Who Scored), and he has been a major contributing factor in our superb campaign thus far.
The fact that the Ghanaian will not play for us tomorrow is a complete and utter joke if you ask me…
Premier League owe West Ham an apology
In my opinion, we shouldn’t be in this situation in the first place. The Premier League should just not have allowed it to happen.
It’s incredibly unfair on the Hammers, and we’re now at a huge disadvantage.
I get that the game is being shown live on Sky Sports, but the Premier League should have insisted that January 1st was the final day for this round of fixtures.
Whatever happened to sporting integrity? How can Liverpool have Mohammed Salah available for tonight’s game against Newcastle but we’re unable to call upon Kudus for our match tomorrow?
It’s an absolute joke. One of our best players this season, if not our very best player, will be unavailable for selection for us in a game where we could cement our place as the front-runners in the race for sixth spot.
The West Ham owners would be well within their rights to complain to the Premier League about this farcical situation.
Let’s just hope that we’re able to beat Brighton tomorrow without the help of Kudus.
